World trends in the development of distance learning: system-forming factors of the system of distance learning in higher military schools

Abstract

Introduction. In recent years in Ukraine, the issue of distance learning is in the process of constant scientific discussion and is a new form of education, including military national education in Ukraine.

Purpose of the article is to analyze the factors that significantly affect the effectiveness of the distance learning system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as to understand the global trends in the development of distance learning systems as an element of e-learning.

Methods. Analysis, comparison and systematization of scientific sources.

Results: an analysis of issues related to global trends in the development of distance learning systems as an element of e-learning; factors that significantly affect the effectiveness of the distance learning system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are considered; the essence of distance learning in higher military educational institution, military educational subdivision of the institution of higher education, as a special form of purposeful process of mastering knowledge, skills and abilities by military specialists is revealed. The study identifies the main feature of distance learning higher military educational institution, military educational subdivision of the institution of higher education: (extraterritoriality - non-compulsory stay of students (cadets) in a military school; no objection to the participation of research and teaching staff in the educational process).

Conclusions. The introduction of distance learning technologies in the training system of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is designed to ensure the emergence of new opportunities to update the content of teaching and methods of teaching disciplines and dissemination of knowledge, expanding access to educational resources. Therefore, this necessitates further research on the development of distance learning and its implementation, in particular, in the national system of military education.
