Abstract

The article analyzes erosive and ulcerative changes in the mucous membrane of the gastroduodenal zone in military personnel with surgical pathology.

Aim. The aim is to study the features of changes in the mucous membrane of the stomach and duodenum in military personnel with surgical pathology.

Materials and methods. The analysis of the reporting medical documentation - 9591 esophagogastroduodenoscopy examinations in patients who were treated in the departments of the surgical profile of the National Military Medical Clinical Center "MMCH" was carried out. The parameters of the structure and dynamics of changes in the mucous membrane of the stomach and duodenum were studied in servicemen with surgical pathology.

Results and discussion. It was found that for the period 2017-2020. the total number of erosive and ulcerative changes in the mucous membrane of the stomach and duodenum in military personnel was 410 cases (42.8 ‰). In the structure of these pathologies - stomach ulcer - 11 people (2.7%), duodenal ulcer - 48 people (11.7%), erosive gastritis - 212 people (51.7%), erosive duodenitis - 139 people (33, nine%). It was revealed that for the studied period (2017-2020) the proportion of cases of endoscopic changes in the gastric mucosa has a general tendency to increase, and the dynamics of changes in the duodenal mucosa is of a descending nature. The largest share (39.5% of cases) of erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastroduodenal zone falls on the emergency department.

Conclusions. It was revealed that in servicemen - surgical patients with esophagogastroduodenoscopy erosive changes in the mucous membrane of the stomach and duodenum were most often found - in 51.7% and 33.9% accordingly. Ulcerative lesions were much less common - gastric ulcer was diagnosed in 2.7% of cases, duodenal ulcer - in 11.7% of cases. Erosive changes in the stomach and duodenum tended to increase during the study period, and the dynamics of ulcerative lesions had a descending character. Erosive and ulcerative changes in the mucous membrane of the stomach and duodenum were more often recorded in patients with acute surgical pathology.
