Based on the analysis of available statistical information and taking into account our own practical experience, it is shown that the main factors that increased the level of primary disability among the Armed Forces were: participation of all military formations in Ukraine in conducting ATO/JFO and shortcomings in their health care. Also, in addition to these factors, the formation of disability of the Armed Forces in some administrative territories of Ukraine was influenced by disability indicators of participants in the liquidation of the Chernobyl accident and mostly uneven location of the Armed Forces recognized as disabled in some regions of Ukraine.

Conclusions. The results of the study of indicators of primary disability among military personnel in the period 2013-2020 allow us to state the existing tendency to their increase. It was determined that the participation of factors that determined the level of primary disability among military personnel: military personnel of all military formations of Ukraine in the conduct of ATO-OOS and the shortcomings of organizing their medical and sanitary provision mainly in the period from 2014 to 2016. It was found that the available statistical reporting does not reflect the structure of primary disability among military personnel by nosological forms of pathology, therefore, it requires improvement, which will be the planning and organization of measures to prevent primary disability among military personnel. The main measures are proposed to improve the organizational basis for the protection and reduction of primary disability among military personnel, especially those who take part in hostilities.</p>}, number={1}, journal={Ukrainian Journal of Military Medicine}, author={Voloshin, V.
