All patients were
divided into two groups: group I (main) - 140 (56.45%) persons
with peptic ulcer and type II diabetes; group II (comparison) -
108 (43.55%) persons with peptic ulcer without type II diabetes.
Subsequently, each group was divided into two subgroups
according to the degree of gastrointestinal lesions at the time of
the study: subgroup 1 - with active gastric or duodenal ulcer (100
(71.43%) - in the main group, 57 (52.77%) - in the comparison
group); subgroup 2 - patients with erosive lesions of the stomach
and duodenum without active ulcer (40 (28.57%) - in the main
group, 51 (36.42%) - in the comparison group). The results of
our calculations showed a variety of features of the lesion of the
stomach and duodenum in patients with type II diabetes: duodenalgastric reflux occurred in 23.58% of cases, peptic ulcer of the
stomach - in 20.0%, erosive lesions - in 36.43%, which
substantiates the feasibility of regular endoscopic examination
(taking into account the painless course of peptic ulcer for diabetes)
for timely diagnosis, prevention of complications and the
appointment of adequate treatment</p>}, number={4}, journal={Ukrainian Journal of Military Medicine}, author={Poda, N.V. and Bodrevich, B.B.}, year={2019}, month={Dec.}, pages={72-79} }
