Different models of aircraft were used for evacuation of wounded and sick militaries. In the early 2000s, a specialized plane AN-26 “VITA” for medical evacuation was created and commissioned. The planning of aeromedical missions is accomplished through the interaction of various structures - the Air Force Medical Service, the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff. Aeromedical evacuation in Ukraine has achieved<br>considerable success and is one of the key elements of medical support for seriously injured soldiers in the context of hybrid aggression.<br>Goal. The aim of this research is to study the historical aspects of the development of aeromedical evacuation in Ukraine.<br>Conclusions. In modern conditions of warfare, it is necessary to use modern methods of evacuation of wounded and sick. Aeromedical evacuation is one of the key of evacuation methods that provides mobility and quality medical assistance during transportation.
