PY - 2022/03/11 Y2 - 2024/03/28 TI - Territorial defense and its medical support - today's challenge JF - Ukrainian Journal of Military Medicine JA - UJMM VL - 3 IS - 1 SE - Problem article DO - 10.46847/ujmm.2022.1(3)-005 UR - https://ujmm.org.ua/index.php/journal/article/view/245 SP - 5-18 AB - The purpose of the work to study the positive experience of anti-terrorist operation / environmental protection and ways to optimize the activities of medical forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to create an optimized model of medical support of the Territorial Defense Forces in the context of national resistance - territorial defense, resistance movement and preparation of Ukrainian citizens for national resistance.Materials and methods.  The state of organization of medical support of the Territorial Defense Forces, problematic issues and ways to solve them has been analized for finding positive experience in organizing medical support of the Defense Forces in the ATO / JFO and emergency medical care (hereinafter EMС) in emergencies in the health care system of Ukraine and the Unified State Civil Protection System. Legal acts regulating the activities of medical forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and EMС in the National Assembly, publications in open sources. Bibliographic, analytical, systematic approach have been used.Results. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the medical forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are generally ready to perform their assigned tasks, but full medical readiness of the Territorial Defense Forces Command as a medical management body, medical service of brigades and battalions of the Territorial Defense Forces is not possible in such a short time, but there are alternative solutions to this important state problem.Conclusions: The territorial service of the Territorial Defense Forces will be able to perform tasks of providing medical care to the personnel of the Territorial Defense Forces and the population in full, provided the territorial principle is used in a single medical space with the involvement of forces and means of territorial units, subsystems of medical protection in the Unified state system of civil protection.
